Calendar alerts. I live by my calendar alerts. For years, I have used a Google spreadsheet and a calendar, and that works fine as long as I don't have too many complicated projects coming and going. And then I also linked to my Google calendar to make sure that I have the reminders and the timelines and everything set up.
