Often, the first step in getting a grant is a Letter of Inquiry (sometimes called a Letter of Intent ) – or LOI, for short. If a funder likes your Letter of Inquiry, they’ll invite you to submit more details about what you would like them to fund. Grant writing doesn’t get any better than that!
