A short time after she took over a small troubled computer refurbishment nonprofit - hurricane Katrina hit. It was not an easy road for Nancy. To be sure, Nancy Jo Craig is an accomplished woman.

I love how Boston-based New Balance is attacking the Boston Marathon like I wish I had attacked Heartbreak Hill when I ran the great race in 2005. During the years my nonprofit had large teams in the Boston Marathon we recruited sponsors for marathon cheering sections based on our access to the course and the halo we enjoyed as a charity.

Most of the libraries and nonprofits I visit have older PCs. We installed Windows 8 and Office 2010 Standard on a classic Windows XP computer, a Dell Optiplex GX 280 from 2005. The press reports I found mostly concurred that Windows 8 seems to work well on two- or three-year-old equipment, but what about a vintage seven year old PC?
